Two murdered in Bogra

Two people have been murdered in two separate incidents in Bogra's Shohortoli on Thursday. A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver, Mamun, has been murdered by miscreants disguised as passengers in Bogra on Thursday night. The police found Mamun's body by the side of a road at Chhoto Kumira village in Shohortoli area on Friday morning. Sadar police station OC Aslam Ali said: “The miscreants fled the scene on the auto-rickshaw after hitting Mamun in the head with a heavy object on Thursday night.” His body was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College hospital in Bogra for autopsy on Friday. The police are on the lookout for the murderers and are searching for Mamun's auto-rickshaw. Another man, Nannu Mia, has been murdered by his son, Tota Mia, at Barpur Poshchimpara in Shohortoli area of Bogra. Nannu was hit on the head by an iron rod by Tota on Thursday night. Sadar police station Inspector (Operation) Abul Kalam Azad said: “Tota's family was expecting guests on Thursday night for Eid dinner. When he started eating before the guests could arrive, Nannu asked him to wait.” “At one point, Tota became aggressive and started arguing with his father. He then became violent and hit Nannu on the head. Nannu died on the spot,” he said. Nannu's body was sent to Shojimek Hospital in Bogra for autopsy on the same day. Nannu's other son, Shona Mia, filed a murder case against Tota under the Sadar police station on Friday morning. Tota was immediately arrested by the police.
