Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a Rohingya drug dealer with 150,000 yaba pills worth about Tk7.5 crore from Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.
Md Mizan, 21, was arrested by a team of RAB 15 at 4am on Thursday.
Mizan, son of Bani Amin of the Kutupalong Block C Rohingya camp, confessed to trading yaba for a long time, during the primary interrogation.
RAB 15 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abdullah Md Sheikh Sadi confirmed the matter in a press release on Thursday.
Acting on a tip off a team of RAB 15 raided Choto Baillakhali bridge on the Cox’s Bazar- Teknaf Marine drive and arrested Mizan with the yaba pills, the ASP said.
Legal action is in process to be taken against Mizan, the RAB official said in the press release.
