Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a young man who allegedly disguised himself as a girl using a fake Facebook ID and embezzled huge amounts of money from various people.
The arrestee is Masuk Mia alias Masud, 28, hailing from Sylhet.
A RAB-4 cyber monitoring team arrested him from Monohardi municipality of Narsingdi district on Monday evening.

RAB officials say Masud used the name Soniya Akter Keya on Facebook and uploaded social media celebrity Tanzim Mehezabin Khan Sneha's pictures as his own.
Then he sent friend requests to other Facebook users and introduced himself as a London expatriate.
RAB said Masud sometimes called the male Facebook users with a female voice acting as their girlfriend, sometimes he introduced himself as a police officer to demand money. Thus he embezzled a total of Tk15-20 lakh from various persons.
Masud confessed to these allegations in a primary interrogation by RAB and a case will be filed against him under the Digital Security Act.
