Police arrested a madrasa teacher for reportedly sexually harassing four girls in Joypurhat.
The incident took place inside Mujahidpur Nurani Madrasa in Joypurhat Sadar upazila on Sunday.
The accused Abdur Rashid took four girls of the madrasa inside a room after their class ended on Sunday.
He sexually harassed the girls and escaped when they screamed, said Joypurhat Sadar police station OC Shahariar Khan, quoting locals.
Police arrested Rashid on the same day after the girls’ parents filed a case under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act in this regard.
