A youth was stabbed to death in a clash between two rival gangs in Fatullah area of Narayanganj on Friday night.
The deceased, identified as Shakil Hossain Nayem, 19, lived in a rented house at Isdair area in Fatullah, said Fatullah Model police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Aslam Hossain.
Nayem was the son of late Khalil Miah from Palashtola village of Sadar upazila in Jamalganj.
Police have detained two people in connection with the incident. They are Hridoy, 23, and Habib, 24.
Quoting locals, OC Aslam Hossain said that, as a sequel to previous enmity, two rival groups clashed with each other at Isdair area on Friday night, leaving Shakil Hossain Nayem dead on the spot.
“Police are interrogating the detainees and a case will be filed,” added the police official.
