Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Thursday detained a couple from Manikganj, both of whom are accused in a case filed for the murder of a tenth-grader in Savar.
The detained were identified as Abdur Rahman and his wife Nazmun Nahar Siddiqui, parents of Mizanur Rahman, who is the prime accused in the murder case. Mizanur is currently on the run.
The matter was confirmed by RAB with a press release issued in the early hours of Friday.

On Monday, the victim's father Narayan Roy filed a murder case against Mizanur Rahman, his parents, and other unknown assailants.
Additional Superintendent of Police Jamir Uddin, chief of RAB 4 CPC-2, said: "The prime accused Mizanur's parents have been on the run since the incident. Process is underway to hand them over to Savar Model police station."
On Sunday, the 14-year-old Nila Roy was reportedly stabbed to death by Mizanur when she refused his proposal of a romantic relationship.
Relatives of the victim said Mizanur of the same locality had been stalking her for long.
He proposed a relationship and affair, but Nila rejected him on multiple occasions.
