At least 34 inspectors, including eight officers-in-charge (OC) of police stations, in Cox’s Bazar have been transferred to different districts of the country.

Through a communique signed by Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Md Moinur Rahman Chowdhury, the order was implemented on Thursday that specifically transferred these officials to different places but Chittagong.

The communique referred to ‘the greater good of the citizens’ as the reason behind these orders and will be enforceable until further notice.

The transferred inspectors were asked to take release orders from their current workplaces by September 29, and be present at a scheduled briefing at Rajarbagh Police Lines in Dhaka at around 10am the next day.
