A fire broke out at the Chittagong Wasa building at the city’s Dampara area in the city early Thursday.
However, no casualty was reported in the fire.
According to Agrabad Control Room of Fire Service and Civil Defense, the fire originating from an electric short-circuits broke out at 4:30am on the second floor of the five-storey building.
On information, a team of firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire at 5:15am.
The extent of damage due to the fire was estimated at Tk2 lakh.
