Majeda Begum, mother of Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, passed away at a hospital in Khulna on Monday night.
The 85-year-old breathed her last at Khulna City Medical College Hospital, informed by a press release from the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
Majeda has been suffering from various old-age related complications. She left behind four sons, two daughters and a host of well-wishers to mourn her death.
Majeda's namaz-e-janaza was at the Tarabunia Eidgah Maidan in Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur around 10am on Tuesday.
