Police recovered the decomposing body of a man, presumed to be 45 years old, from international pillar no 28 at the Pachbhulet border in Jessore’s Sharsha upazila on Saturday.
The identity of the deceased could not be confirmed yet, said Anwar Azim, Sub-Inspector of Baghachra police outpost under Sharsha police station.
According to Anwar Azim: “Police and members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have jointly recovered the dead body with the help of a dom (a corpse-burner) after being informed by locals.”
“We cannot say anything more at this moment until a post-mortem is conducted,” added the SI.
