Another policeman died from coronavirus at Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital (CPH) on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Khondoker Toufiq Alom, 58. Hailing from the Tangail district, he had been serving as a constable under Rajshahi district police.
According to Iftekhayer Alom, additional superintendent of police and the spokesperson of Rajshahi district police, Toufiq Alom passed away at 2:15pm while undergoing treatment for covid-19 at the CPH.
The death tally from coronavirus in the country reached 4,733 on Monday with 26 fresh deaths in the last 24 hours. The confirmed cases from the virus climbed to 237,520.
