Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) has announced the annual budget of Tk 889.55 crore for the fiscal 2020-2021.
Mayor Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa unveiled the budget at a function arranged at the RCC conference room on Sunday.
The proposed budget includes income of over Taka 88.51 crore from revenue earnings and over Taka 800.1 crore as development assistance from different donor agencies including Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Around Tk5 crore have been allotted for fighting Covid-19 and dengue.
Speaking on the occasion, the mayor said that initiatives have been taken to make the city corporation modern and eye-catching.
“Renovation work of different roads, drains and other infrastructures is going on in the whole city corporation. The development will be visible within this year,” he added.
