A 13-year-old madrasa girl has reportedly been raped by another madrasa student in Barandipara of Jessore.
Police have arrested the accused, 19-year-old Abu Raihan-- a Hefz student of Baitul Mamud Madrasah-- on Tuesday morning after a case has been filed by the mother of the girl on Monday night.
According to the case statement, Abu Raihan went to the girls house and raped her in her mother’s absence on August 9. Knowing the incident, mother of the girl lodged a case with Kotwali police station.
Confirming the incident, Kotwali Police OC Md Moniruzzaman said: “We immediately detained the youth and took the girl to Jessore General Hospital for treatment.”
