Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug dealer with 1.56 kilograms(kg) of heroin from Bagdanga village of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila on Friday evening.
The arrested was identified as Md Sirajul Islam, 40 of Chandlai Jorbagan area under Chapainawabganj municipality.
RAB sources said, acting on a tip off, a team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the Bagdanga area around 7.30 pm and arrested Sirajul with the heroin worth about Tk1.60 crore.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to Chapainawabganj Sadar police station with a case lodged in this connection.
