Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested two people for their alleged involvement in black marketing train tickets in Shiroil Kanchabazar slum area of the city on Thursday night.
The arrested Rimon and Liakat Hossain were caught red-handed with train tickets for a total of 39 seats, confirmed Golam Ruhul Quddus additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a raid at the Shiroil area and arrested them with the train tickets, according to Golam.
"The arrestees are being interrogated regarding the ways they collect these tickets. Legal actions would be taken against them after the interrogation, " said the ADC of the RMP.
