Three suspected drug dealers have been killed in an alleged gunfight with police in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.

The incident took place around 4am at Amtali hilly terrain of Chakaria upazila and police are yet to determine the identities of the deceased, claimed Chakaria police station Inspector Md Mizanur Rahman.

Police initially arrested Zaheda Begum and Mozaffor Ahmad with 6,000 yaba tablets around 1am on Friday from Baraitali New Road area. Upon their information, police took them to the gunfight spot to arrest their associates, said Inspector Mizanur.
