Rapid Action Battalion RAB (RAB) arrested 6 suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Savar on Sunday.
The arrested were identified as Habibur Rahman alias Badsha (48), Saidur Rahman (55), Mahbubur Rahman alias Dudu (55), Shafiqul Islam Shafiq (37), Omar Faruk Rubel alias Sunny (28), and Golam Mostafa (51).
Rab-4 Senior Assistant Superintendent of police Sajedul Islam said that on a tip-off, a team of Rab-4 arrested the six after conducting a drive in Badda-Bhatpara area of Savar early Sunday.
The RAB members also recovered several extremism provoking books and leaflets and seven mobile phone sets from their possession, said the official.
"The arrested will be handed over to Savar Model police station after filing a case." added Sajedul.
