At least two people were shot to death while two others sustained bullet injuries in a clash between two rival groups in Khulna city on Thursday night.
The incident took place in the Moshiali area around 8:30pm, said Kanai Lal Sarkar, additional deputy commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).
The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam, 60, and Golam Rasul, 30, of Moshiali area.
Two groups of the locality exchanged gunfire over establishing supremacy in the Moshiali area, injuring four people, said the police official.
Later the injured were taken to Fultola Upazila Health Complex where two of them succumbed to bullet injuries, he added.
"Two others are currently undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital,” he said.
Police enquiry was going on to find out details of the incident till filling of this report around 11:30pm, said the official.
