At least six people were killed in separate road accidents in four districts on Friday and Saturday.
In Habiganj, two people including a woman were killed after a truck hit a motorcyle on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Madhabpur upazila.
The deceased were identified as Imom Miah,30 and Jannat, 28.
Shayestaganj Highway police station Officer-in-Charge(OC) Toufiqul islam said: "A Sylhet bound truck hit a motorycle at around 11am, killing Imom Miah on the spot.
The injured Jannat was rushed to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex where duty doctors pronounced her dead, the OC added.
In Gazipur, a NGO worker was killed and nine others injured in a head-on collision between two buses at Pipulia area of Kaliganj upazila.
The deceased identified as Dina Naznin, 38 was a resident of Moddho Khalpara village of the upazila.
Kaliganj police station Officer-in-Charge AKM Mizanul Haque said: "Two buses fell on a roadside ditch after they collided head-on with at Pipulia area of Kaliganj upazila, killing one perspon on the spot and injuring nine others.
In Rangpur, a man was killed and two others were injured after a bus hit two motorcycles at Modern intersection in the city.
The identities of the deceased and the injured were not confirmed yet, said Tajhat police station officer-in-Charge Rokunuzzaman.
In Comilla, a couple was killed and four people were injured in a road crash on Comilla-Sylhet Highway in Kalikapur area in Debidwar upazila on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Abu Taher, 70 and his wife Zobeda Khatun, 55 of Kotna village in Fatehabad union of the upazila.
Jahirul Anwar, officer-in-charge of Debidwar Police Station, said that the accident took place at night when a goods-laden truck hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw, leaving the couple dead on the spot and four other passengers injured.
The injured were admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
