BRTC bus hits autorickshaw in Dinajpur, killing everyone in it

The accident took place on Dinajpur-Pahchagarh highway at Pochishmile in Birganj upazila at around 2:30pm

Six people, including a family of five, have been killed as a Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) bus rammed into an autorickshaw in Dinajpur.

The accident took place on the Dinajpur-Panchagarh highway in Birganj upazila, at around 2:30pm on Monday, said Abdul Motin, officer-in-charge of Birganj police station.

"A BRTC bus coming from Thakurgaon hit the autorickshaw in the Pochishmile area, killing all six people in the vehicle," the OC said.

Among the deceased, five were identified as Subhan, 55, his wife Asma 50, and their children Nargis, 28, Lamia, 20, and Nayem, 18. 

The other deceased, the autorickshaw driver, has yet to be identified.
