Chittagong Division surpassed the number of daily deaths recorded in Dhaka Division for the second time in three days on Saturday.
In the 24 hours till Saturday morning, a total 37 people died across Bangladesh from Covid-19, data compiled by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) shows. Among them, the highest 13 deaths were recorded in Chittagong, while the second highest 10 deaths were recorded in Dhaka.
Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions came third and fourth, respectively, with five and four deaths. Khulna and Barisal divisions registered just two deaths each and only one fatality was reported in Rangpur division.

The deceased include 29 male patients. Of the 37 new victims, 10 died at home, according to DGHS.
Chittagong also topped the daily death toll list with 18 deaths on June 18, as compared to 14 in Dhaka the same day.
Dhaka Division has topped the daily death count list on most days since pandemic arrived in the country on March 8.
