A Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing lab was set up in Bhola 250-bed General Hospital on Wednesday.
Civil surgeon Dr Ratan Kumar Dhali confirmed the news.
Two experts from Dhaka are scheduled to come to the district to train an 18-member team with physicians and technologists.
A few corona tests will be done during the training, but after completion, over a hundred tests will be done in a day.
Earlier on Thursday, RT-PCR machine-related instruments were sent to Bhola. Then the work started on Saturday by engineers from Dhaka. The corona tests will be started after the end of the weeklong training.
A letter has already been sent to Directorate General of Health Services for manpower which will help to do the work smoothly, said the civil surgeon.
