Police have detained a man suspected of killing the Imam of a mosque in Narayanganj.
Rupganj police's Officer-in-Charge Ismail Hossain said the suspect Jahirul Islam is “mentally ill” and had killed his wife a decade ago.
He was detained on Saturday morning from Rupganj, reports Bangla Tribune.

Jahirul attacked Imam Abdul Majid during Friday night's Isha prayers at a mosque in Daudpur union's Gobindpur Majhipara village.
Another man, who tried to save the Imam, was also injured in the attack.
