8 more die with Covid-19 symptoms

Meanwhile, the local health authorities collected samples from the deceased and sent them to nearby PCR labs for Covid-19 testing

At least 8 more people died with symptoms similar to those of Covid-19 from Friday to Saturday in  six districts. Local health authorities have collected samples from the deceased and sent them to nearby PCR labs for Covid-19 testing.

In Jhenaidah, a 50-year-old man suffering from cough, cold, and fever died in Kullapara village of Kaliganj upazila at around 12:30 am Saturday.

Foyez Uddin, who worked as a security guard at a bank in Dhaka, returned to his village three days back, said Dr Sultan Ahmed, residential medical officer (RMO) at Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex. 

In Gopalganj, a Muksudpur upazila health worker suffering from cold and cough died while he was being taken to Dhaka Kurmitola General Hospital for treatment.

Ripon Baidya,42, who was a lab technician at Baniarchar Catholic Mission Health Centre, fell ill a few days back. He was from Jalirpar Baniarchar village in Muksudpur upazila, said Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mahmudur Rahman.

In Sirajganj, two people with Covid-19 symptoms died in their homes in Ullapara and Tarash upazilas, Saturday morning.

75-year-old Abdul Karim suffering from shortness of breath died at his home in Banshgaria village in Tarash upazila, said Dr Mizanur Rahman, residential medical officer (RMO) at Tarash Upazila Health Complex.

50 -year-old Nur Mohammed died at his home in Ullapara municipality  area, said Dr Md Abu Taher Faruki of the Ullapara Upazila Health Complex .

In Bogra, two people died on Friday while they were undergoing treatment at the Isolation ward of Mohammad Ali Hospital.

The deceased were identified as Rabbi,45, of Shibganj upazila and Shamim Ahmed Bhulu,45, of colony area in Bogra town. Mohammad Ali Hospital Residential Medical officer Shafiq Amin Kajol confirmed the news.

In Moulvibazar, a 30-year-old man suffering from fever, cough and cold, died undergoing treatment at  Moulvibazar 200- bed General Hospital.

Sanur Miah, from Chitolia village of Kamalganj upazila was shifted to the general hospital from the upazila health complex and died at around 10:30pm on Friday, said Residential Medical Officer Foisal Jaman.

In Khulna, a 60-year-old woman died undergoing treatment at the isolation ward in Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH). Shahanara Begum of Benapole, died at   around 11pm on Friday, said Isolation Ward spokesperson Dr Mizanur Rahman.
