Police have recovered a few days old infant who was left abandoned beside a road in Paharpur area of Naogaon's Badalgachi upazila.
Locals on Friday discovered a sack in which the baby was kept, by the Paharpur-Jamalganj road.
Upon being informed, police recovered the baby and took her under their supervision, confirmed Sub-Inspector Monir, of Paharpur police outpost in Badalgachi.
The baby is in good health and was admitted to a hospital for treatment, said Naogaon Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan Miya.
He further said police are trying to determine the whereabouts of the baby’s parents.
