Three children drowned to death in separate incidents in Bogra and Madaripur yesterday.
In Bogra, two children drowned to death in a pond in Islampur Kha para area in Dupchanchia upazila at noon.
The deceased identified as Nirob Khan, 4 and Mobasshira Khan,4 were cousins, said Dupchanchia police station (OC) Mizanur Rahman.
Mizanur said the children might have drowned while playing beside the pond. "We have allowed the family members to bury the deceased as no complaint of foul-play was filed regarding the matter."
In Madaripur, a 5-year old child drowned to death in a canal in Charfatehabad village of Kalkini upazila.
The deceased identified as Junayet Khan was the son of Azabul Khan from the village.
Regarding the matter, Kalkini Upazila Health Complex on-duty doctor Sajib Bhakta said: "The child was dead when brought here."
