A pregnant woman, suffering from cough, cold and fever, died on early Friday while undergoing treatment at the isolation unit of Jessore General Hospital.
Residential Medical Officer (RMO) Dr Arif Ahmed confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
The three-month pregnant woman, suffering from cough, cold and fever had been brought to the hospital around 9pm on Thursday.
As the woman was showing symptoms of Covid-19, the authorities admitted her to the isolation unit where she died early Friday, said Dr Arif Ahmed.
He also added that samples from the deceased had been collected to test for coronavirus.
