Pulse Healthcare Services in association with Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation (DBF) have provided medical grade imported Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sets to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Dhaka.

Pulse Founder Rubaba Dowla and DBF Founder Durjoy Rahman handed over the PPE sets to CMH Commandant Brig Gen Towfiqul Hasan Siddique on Thursday, a press release said.

The PPE sets include coverall, masks, gloves and protective glasses.

“Pulse provides telemedicine platform for doctors to enable them to safely consult with patients from home but for doctors who need to see patients in person, additional precautions are required to protect themselves and prevent transmission,” Rubaba said.

“It is imperative to use proper PPE, hence we only imported PPE that maintained internationally certified standards,” she added.

Durjoy said: “Covid -19 pandemic in Bangladesh has led all of us to ask ourselves what we can do to help others during this critical time within our capacity.”

“It was crucial to extend help to those who are fighting this disease at the front lines – our doctors and nurses who are fearlessly upholding their professional oath to serve patients, despite the workplace hazards and DBF wholeheartedly came forward to support this cause,” he also said.

Pulse Healthcare Adviser Dr Rumana Dowla was present at the time, among others.
