A coronavirus (Covid-19) testing laboratory at the Genome Center of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has started its operation on Friday with testing 13 samples.
“The coronavirus testing lab has started its operation at the Genome Center of our university,” said Professor Iqbal Kabir, associate director of the Genome Center.
He said a total of 13 samples, sent by the Jessore Civil Surgeon’s Office, were tested on the first day and that the test results would soon be announced.
"Samples of Jessore, Narail, Magura and Jhenaidah can now be collected and examined at the lab to detect Covid-19 cases," he added.
