Residents of Jalalabad village in Natore Sadar upazila have decided to keep themselves under lockdown from Wednesday night, as 21 people returned to the village from Narayanganj.
Besides, eight families in Kafuria, Sultanpur and Notabari villages were kept under home quarantine, after 25 people returned to the villages from different parts of the country, including Dhaka, reports UNB.
Civil Surgeon Md Mizanur Rahman said the healthcare workers were engaged in collecting samples from people suffering from fever or cold, which are among the symptoms of Covid-19 -- the disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus.
He added that samples of two people were collected in the last 24 hours.
