ThakurgaonThakurgaonThakurgaonA tenth-grade schoolgirl was hospitalized with severe injuries after she was reportedly raped by her private tutor in Haripur upazila of Thakurgaon.
The accused tutor Prabhat Chandra, 28, taught school students at a local coaching centre.
Haripur police station OC Md Amiruzzaman said based on the complaint filed by the girl’s father, a rape case was recorded. “The rape suspect will soon be arrested.”
According to the case statement, on Sunday morning Prabhat called the girl to his coaching centre. When she reached, Prabhat proceeded to rape her under various threats and intimidation. At one point, she screamed for help and passed out from the abuse.

There, the doctors referred her to the Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, aggravated locals, school students, teachers, and guardians protested this heinous act through human chain and protest rally demanding Prabhat’s arrest and exemplary punishment immediately.
Haripur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdul Karim and police station OC Md Amiruzzaman were also seen showing solidarity with the protests and assured the locals of swift justice.
