Fraud dentists held in Patuakhali: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two fraud dentists from Subdhikhali Bazar in Mirzaganj upazila yesterday. The detained Sudipta Majumdar and Abul Kalam Azad are the proprietors of Palak Dental Care and Nur Dental Care respectively. RAB 8 Company Commander Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rois Uddin said: "The duo has been treating dental patients without medical certificates and they will be handed over to Mirzaganj police station."

Man found dead in Bogra: Police yesterday recovered the body of an auto-rickshaw driver from a bush in Kamargari village in the town. The deceased Shaon Sheikh, 28 was from Baghbari village of Gabtoli upazila. Bogra Railway police outpost SI Ferezul Islam said: “We found the body of Shaon with his vehicle on Saturday morning in the area. His rickshaw's battery was missing. Miscreants might have killed him to snatch the battery.”

Construction worker killed in Noakhali: A construction worker fell to his death while on duty in Hatia upazila on Saturday. The deceased Delwar Hossain was painting the new building of Hatia Officers Club when he accidently came in contact with a live eclectic wire and fell from an the building. He was taken to hospital where doctors declared him dead. The body was handed over to the deceased's family, as no complaint was filed, said Hatia police station OC Abul Khayer.

Man hacked to death in Narail: A man was hacked to death reportedly by his rivals in Kamal Pratap Bazar in Sadar upazila yesterday over establishing dominance in the locality. The deceased is Safi Molla, 35. Locals say there has been bad blood between two group of villagers, supported by Biddut Mollik and Sheikh Lutfor over establishing supremacy. On Friday night, supporters of Biddut Mollik killed Safi Molla of Lutfor Sheikh group with sharp weapons. Additional Superintendent of Police Sheikh Imran said police are trying to arrest those involved in the killing.

Engineer held for spreading rumours on coronavirus: Police on Friday arrested an engineer from Boalkhali upazila in Chittagong for spreading rumours about coronavirus on social media. The arrested ABM Reza,deputy assistant engineer of Satkania upazila LGED posted on Facebook that a coronavirus infected patient was detected in Boalkhali. As police could not find any coronavirus patient in Boalkhali, they arrested Reza, said Boalkhali police station OC Helal Uddin Mohammad Faruk.

Couple suffers burn injuries in Narayanganj fire: A married couple yesterday suffered burns in a fire that originated from a gas line leakage in their Kitchen at Kanchpur of Sonargaon upazila. The victims Ashraf, 45, and his wife Rozina, 35 are being treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital Burn Unit. They suffered 75% and 63% burn injuries respectively.
