Police has arrested a man for allegedly raping a child from Bhuljoyra area of Manikganj Sadar upazila on Wednesday morning.
The arrested Abul Hossain, 50, is from Bormi area of Sreepur upazila under Gazipur district.
Manikganj Sadar police station Sub Inspector (SI) Sheikh Sayedur Rahman said: "Abul is claiming that he is a bus driver but he doesn't have any driving license. Yesterday, Abul raped the child, who lives next door to him."
Later the child's mother filed a complaint this morning and Abul was sent to the court after he was arrested, the police official added.
