Bullfight leads to man-fight leads to death

A teenager has died in a clash that broke out in Nabiganj upazila during a bullfighting event. The victim's name is Sujat Miah, 16, son of Apar Miah of Amrakhai village in Boro Bhakoir Union. At least 15 people were injured in the fight. The bullfighting event was taking place on Wednesday morning in his village when Abdur Khalek and Apar Miah, both owners of fighter bulls, became involved in an argument. The argument soon escalated into a fight and the two sides brought out local weapons. Sujat died on the spot during the fight. Nabiganj police later arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. Three people were detained. Nabiganj police station Officer-in-Charge Ataur Rahman said additional police had been deployed in the village.
