Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two more members of banned militant outfit “Allahr Dal” from Khulna early on Thursday.
The arrested are Al Mamun, 34, and Rafikul Islam, 35.
RAB-6 Director Syed Md Nurus Salehin Yousuf said: “Acting on a tip off, a team of RAB-6 conducted a drive near Fulbari Gate area under Khan Jahan Ali police station and arrested the duo at 1.30am yesterday.”
During primary interrogation both of them admitted their involvement in the militant organization, he added.
The arrested were involved in recruiting new members and sharing extreme ideology among them, RAB official said.
RAB also seized one mobile phone, two SIM cards, one memory card, and Tk110 in cash from their possession.
Law enforcement agencies arrested a total of 16 “Allahr Dal” members from Khulna in the last nine months.
Previously, on May 3, 2019 three members of the militant group were arrested from East Bania Khamar area, four more members were arrested on December 11, 2019 from Dilkhola area, five more members were arrested from Kholabaria area on December 30, 2019, and on January 12, 2020, two more members were arrested from Rail Station area of Khulna.
