Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained three suspected smugglers with 48 bottles of phensedyl from Kushumpur area of Moheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah Friday night.
The arrestees are Md Russel Mia, 35, son of Md Robbul Islam, of Horiharnagar village in Jibonnagar upazila, Md Raju, son of Md Azizul of Bonipur village and Md Saidul, 33, son of Lakkhipur village, according to a BGB press release, reports UNB.
Acting on a tip-off, BGB men conducted a drive and arrested the trio from the area around 8pm, said Kamrul Hasan, additional director of Moheshpur BGB-58 battalion.
