A man and his minor daughter were crushed to death by a trainon Monday afternoon at Namobhadra in Rajshahi.
The deceased were identified as Rubel Ali, 30, and his daughter Rumaiya Khatun, aged two and a half, of Dharampur, reports UNB.
The incident occurred on
Sayeed Iqbal, officer-in-charge of Rajshahi Govt Railway Police Station, said Khulna-bound "Kapotakkha" train from Rajshahi hit the duo when Rubel along with his daughter were crossing the rail tracks.
The accident left Rubel dead on the spot, while Rumaiya was critically injured.
Locals took the girl to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared her dead.
