In recent past, Prof Anwar Hossain had to bow out of office following nine months of student protests.
The current turn of events at Jahangirnagar University does raise the question whether history will repeat itself in deciding the fate of current JU VC, Dr Farzana Islam.
It seems fairly obvious this top public university is on the brink of another long protest movement.
