Coast Guard members in a drive have arrested two robbers and rescued three kidnapped fishermen from a den of robbers in Dakatia canal area in Mongla upazila.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.
The arrestees are Hossain Sheikh, 28, son of Sultan Sheikh, and Rubel Sheikh, 21, son of Nabi Sheikh, of Dighalia upazila in Khulna district
Coast Guard Detective Abdullah Al Mahmud said, upon receiving a tip-off, a team of coast guards conducted a drive in the area and arrested the two robbers along with two sharp weapons.
Later they also rescued three fishermen from their den.
