4, including 2 children, found dead in Cox’s Bazar

The deceased belong to the same family

Police have recovered throat-slit bodies of four members of a family, including two children, from a house at Purba Ratnapalong village under Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

The deceased are Shokhi Borua, 62, her daughter-in-law Mila Borua, 23, her son Robin Borua, 5, and daughter Soni Borua, 6.

Md Nurul Islam Mojumdar, Officer-in-Charge (investigation) of Ukhiya police station, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.

He said: “Locals found the body early in the morning and informed us. We are suspecting that some local criminals might have entered their house and murdered them.”

“We have started investigating the matter.” he added.

The bodies have been sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
