A man’s ear has been cut by his wife's alleged harasser in Gopalganj.
The incident occurred on Monday morning.
The victim was identified as Shohag Sarder, 25, son of Shawkat Sarder from Shriramkandi village of Tungipara upazila in Gopalganj district.
He was initially admitted to Tungipara upazila health complex but was later sent to Dhaka after his condition deteriorated.
Shohag claimed a man named Rajib Sheikh used to harass his wife. Rajib and his associates attacked Shohag and cut off his ear.
Locals claimed Shohag’s wife and Rajib were having an affair.
Tungipara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AKM Enamul Kabir said “We have heard about the allegation. We are looking into it.”
