2 killed in road accidents: Thirty female workers of Ishwardi EPZ injured in Pabna alone

At least two people, including a school boy were killed, and at least 42 others were injured in separate road accidents in three districts Saturday. 

In Chittagong, one person was killed, and 12 others were injured after a bus lost control, and fell into a roadside paddy field near Patiya Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Shamsul Alom, 52, son of Julu Sowdagor from Satkania upazila of Chittagong.

The injured are currently undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the city.

Bimol Chandra Bhowmik, inspector of Patiya Highway police outpost, confirmed the matter.

In Bhola a school student was killed in a road accident after a speeding bus ran him over in Lalmohan upazila Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Md Sharif, son of Md Kashem from Guccha village, of Lalmohan municipality. 

Locals said, Sharif was crushed under a bus while going home from Lalmohan bazaar on his bicycle, he died on the spot

Lalmohan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Khairul Kabir confirmed the matter, saying that his dead body had been recovered from the scene

In Pabna, thirty female workers of Ishwardi EPZ were critically injured in a collision between two buses on the Ishwardi-Pabna highway near Pabna sugar mill Saturday.

Two of the injured were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital(RMCH) as their condition deteriorated,   and the rest are currently undergoing treatment at Pabna medical college, confirmed Alamgir Kabir, Officer-in-Charge of Pakshi Highway police station.
