'International Literacy Day' observed across the country

In Tangail, A  colourful procession was brought out from the District Collectorate office premises to observe the 'International Literacy Day' on Sunday, September 8, 2019

'International Literacy Day 2019', was observed in a befitting manner across the country on Sunday.

The theme of this year's day was 'Literacy and Multilingualism'

In Chuadanga, a colorful rally was brought out from Deputy Commissioner’s office premises, that marched through several main streets of the city.

Officials and employees of district's government and private organizations, and students of various schools and colleges took part in the rally.

A discussion on 'International Literacy Day' was also held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room .

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Nazrul Islam Sarker delivered a speech as chief guest at the discussion.

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Shahidul Islam, and Superintendent of police(SP) Sanjit Kumar Roy in Tangail, addressed a discussion on 'International Literacy Day', held at Deputy Commissioner's conference room after the rally.

Tangail Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Selim Ahmed was also present at the discussion.

In Hili, Upazila administration brought out a rally, observing the 'World Literacy Day' on Sunday.

A discussion, presided over by Upazila Agriculture officer Shamima Najnin, was held at the Upazila administration premises after the rally.

In Bogra, colourful rally, and discussions marking the 'International Literacy Day' were held on Sunday.

Students, officials,  and employees from different government, and private organisations took part in the rally.

A discussion, presided over by Bogra Deputy Commissioner(DC) Faiyez Ahamed, was held at the Deputy Commissioner's office.

Bangladesh Girls Guide Association(BGGA) of Bogra district also undertook elaborate programs marking the 'International Literacy Day'.
