A body with a gunshot wound has been recovered in Satkhira Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Kabirul Islam, 42, a suspect in the Satkhira Awami League leader Nazrul murder case.
Confirming the matter, Satkhira Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman said: "A police team went to Kuchpukur Bypass road after learning about a skirmish between two gangs."
They retrieved Kabirul’s body from the scene, he said.
Kabirul was recently released on bail in the Nazrul murder case, OC Mostafizur concluded.
