A seven-year-old boy has been reportedly raped by a college student at Chowgachha upazila in Jessore.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the father of the victim filed a case against the accused, Firoz Hossain, 18, with Chowgachha police station on Saturday, Sub-Inspector (SI) Nazrul Islam told Dhaka Tribune.
Firoz is a resident of Swarupdah union and a first-year student of Tariqul Islam Poura College in Jessore town.
The victim's father said Firoz called his son while he was playing nearby their house.
He took the boy to a jute field and violated him around 1:30pm.
Later, the victim informed the matter to his family. As his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Chowgachha Upazila Health Complex.
The on-duty physician of the health complex referred him to Jessore General Hospital.
SI Nazrul said: "We are conducting drives to arrest the accused."
