A man has been detained with 5,000 yaba tablets, worth Tk15 lakh, in Cox’s Bazar.
Md Salah Uddin, 35, was detained from in front of Cox's Bazar Public College on Friday night, Ramu Tulabagan highway police station in-charge Inspector Mujahidul Islam said.
The inspector said police noticed a CNG without a number plate standing in front of Cox’s Bazar Public College, checked it and found Salah with 5,000 yaba pills in a chanachur (a local snack) packet inside.
A case has been filed with the police, Mujahidul added.
