Police have arrested a man for attempting to rape two of his students in Barhatta, Netrokona on Wednesday.
The detained, Awin Uddin, headmaster of Hajjiganj High School allegedly attempted to rape an eighth and a ninth grader of the school.
According to police, a case was filed on Tuesday and another on June 10.
According to the case statements, on February 25, Awin Uddin forcefully took an eighth-grader to his office bathroom and attempted to rape her. And on February 28, he called a ninth grader to his office and tried to force himself on her.
Acting superintendent of police, Ashraful Islam, said: "The headmaster initially received bail in the first case filed by the eighth grader until June 30. And acting on the case filed by the ninth grader we arrested him for the second time."
