At least 20 people have been injured in an in a road accident in Katakhali area under Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah.
The accident occurred on Kaliganj-Jibannagar highway around 9am on Wednesday.
One of the injured, Waliur Rahman, said: “The Maheshpur bound Shapla Paribahan bus lost control , and hit a tree hard. At least 20 people were injured and five of them are in critical condition.”
Confirming the matter, Maheshpur police station Officer-in-Charge Rashedul Islam Rashed said: “Locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Kotchandpur Upazila Health Complex.“
