A woman has died of alleged wrong treatment in Feni.

The deceased, Latifa Begum, 55, died in Feni’s Apollo Hospital Private Limited Monday night.

Latifa's son, Abu Taleb Chowdhury said: "My mother was admitted to Apollo Hospital Private Limited, for her tumor operation. She was operated on Sunday around 1am but did not regain her consciousness till Monday morning.

My mother's condition deteriorated around 12pm and the duty doctor, Aziz Ullah, advised us to transfer her to Chittagong Medical College (CMC). She died on our way to the hospital."

When asked, Dr Aziz said there was no negligence from his side and he talked to late Latifa even after her operation.

"I think she might have had cardiac arrest while on her way to CMC causing her death," he added.

Feni Model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) said: "Police reached the spot after being informed about vandalism the deceased’s relatives did at the Apollo hospital. However, no one has filed a case so far."
