Around seven fire service units doused a fire in Comilla in three hours.
The incident occurred on Saturday at 8am at a sewing factory named Etashia Interlining Limited.
Comilla district fire service Assistant Director Prantho Nath Saha said: "The fire inside the factory is under control. However, there is heavy smoke inside. Firefighters are still working. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far."
When smoke emanating from the cotton, thread, and sewing material is under control we will enter the factory, he said.
The source behind the fire has not yet been determined, he said.
